The cowl vent brackets under dash are bent up pretty bad. Does anyone have a clear photo of the passenger side bracket? If so please e-mail it to proracer690@gmail.com. Thank you so much....JIM

Thank you for the response. I have the Chevy Repair Manual and Fisher Body Manual. Both are reprints. The Fisher Manual, page 24 shows the brackets but the detail is blurred. I am interested in how the spring mounts through the bracket and what position the bracket is in. This is the part that was bent up the worse. JIM

My cowl vent area in my 35 roadster is so carved up from previous owners doing work. I have the spring hanging there but i have no idea exactly what it is supposed to do. I can see the bracket on the side, whats that for . ??

My 35 fisher 3w coupe does not have a spring on the cowl vent. Not that i ever remember seeing one.

Hi Mike: Pat S sent me a photo of the bracketry for the cowl vent last night. See if he will email you the same photo. At that point I was close to correct operation of the vent; 1 more adjustment to the passenger side bracket made the operation great. This mechanism controls the opening/closing of the cowl vent. It also insures the vent door seals correctly to the rubber gasket...JIM

My top of the cowl vent area is so badly butchered and rusted out, I may not be able to save the top cowl vent area and might have to fill it in . I am also missing the linkage to tihe cowl vent, i do have the handle assembly.

See what the restoration body work master says when we get around to bringing the cowl assembley to them for repair work after the wood is replaced under the cowl and the door posts.

Hi Mike: Pat S posted a clear photo of the cowl vent from the under dash side in this post. It and the diagram in Fisher body manual shows exactly how it mounts and adjusts. JIM
