I took the keeper off and it wouldn't come off the shaft. I tried evcerything and finally got to rough and broke it. I'm trying to install the fuzzy bonk window strips.

Main window or vent window? Either way I bought a handful of '38 Master crank handles a while back. I believe I have a serviceable crank handle I can send you. I know you've sent me stuff in the past but I don't have your mailing address. PM me with it and I'll get a care package headed your way.

Steve You know that you have over the years been trying to convert your 38 MASTER to a Deluxe ..Soo why don't you buy a set of Ivory crank handles & knobs so it will match the other phony Deluxe stuff you have and then put the Mottled Brown original crank knobs & backing plates on the "for sale" forum and help someone out who needs them ...That will offset your cost and help someone out who wants to retain the originaty of their car....A WIN...WIN.. 6 handles plus escutcheons plus shipping =$300

I agree it would look much better than dark brown. Maybe if I could search Ebay and gets a set for $200 I might do it.

I'd love to have the Deluxe wheel, but that's as far as I'll go. I don't want the knee action. I'm running out of projects on my old coupe. I put the welting and fuzzy window strips in, which I had been planning to do for a while now. The things that are left are not going to happen more than likely. The paint job ($6k) is not going to happen and fixing the chatter in my clutch is to big a job for me without a lift (deduct for old age),so I'm getting where I can't think of anything else except maybe a flashy polished twin intake or Chromed Pekat Visor. I guess after three years of tinkering and spending money it might be over. yipp

I saw those but COT40s says a 37 won't fit a 38. Are they wrong?

As he said they aren't '37s. They are mis-labled '38s. They are mighty crusty though. If you can get them for the minimum bid they're probably worth the money.

chrome handle was the same for 37/38, knobs were different, 39 handle is bigger with a different spline shaft, c clip groove was moved.

Mike, Your crank handles looks filmuler I may have a set of them? I will get back to you later today.
Or why buy all six handles, you only broke one. Buy the one complete handle in ivory & buy five ivory knobs & put them on the other five. I changes all of my brown knobs on my 1939 master 85 to deluxe rose. Much cheaper...

Nope, I thought I nay have a set, but mine are not the same. Knobs look very close, but mine probably aren't Chevy handles.
