Has anyone here ever used Evans Waterless coolant in their straight 6 motor? I am planning on giving it a shot in my motor since it is new.

Not only dose it not boil over but it will not cause corrosion in your motor. And it lasts a life time you will never have to change it. Info page Pod cast

Well, now $43-$50 bucks a gallon is close to scaring me off...Course if'n yur rides a trailer queen guess it's worth it...Heck, never achanging the fluid again is probably worth the money...! What do I do with any left-over...?
Yeah, new engine, probably the ticket...

Why would you want to raise the boiling point on an old six? Mountains? Go to a lower altitude. Stopped up radiator? Get it rodded or a new one. Rust? For a couple bucks you can get some rust inhibitor. Economy? How many times can you change out the regular 50/50 for the price? Charlie

I'm thinking you might get-in about a $120 bucks deep...But you never have to change the fluid again...Now, if your just starting out with a new motor it's gonna be even less...No need to use their flush...And for the life of the engine...? No hassles worrying about break-down, etc.? I think it would be worth serious consideration...Isn't Jay Leno practically endorsing it...? And he knows his jolopies...Too  Just walk away, your baby is safe...Go get some sleep...

Evans NPG is Propylene Glycol and NPG+ is mostly Ethylene Glycol with Propylene Glycol. Both have minor amounts of additives. The heat transfer capabilities of either are approximately 65% of water @ 200 deg F. 50% Ethylene Glycol/water is 86% of water at the same temperature. What that means is that the metal at the coolant surface of the block and head will be a much higher temperature than with water or water/ethylene glycol. The internal metal temperature even hotter. The metallurgy of our old Chevrolets and coolant passages were not designed for higher metal temperatures. You can use any coolant you wish.
My advise is to try to understand more than the hype of the coolant seller before you decide to make a change from proven coolants.

Jay Leno...You've been duped again...  I've got a 5 gallon container of what I think says Propylene Glycol...I'll have to look in the shop and see what's on the label...Maybe I could use it as coolant...?

PG is best used as RV antifreeze. Also in plenty of foods as it has low toxicity. EG is toxic as it metabolizes to oxalic acid or Sodium salt which form very sharp crystals incising vital organs. The antidote for ingestion of EG is ethanol which is preferentially metabolized allowing for elimination of EG before it changes to OA.

Would it be a bad thing to run 100% Anti freeze? In order to not get the Calcium and rust build up in the motor? Just wondering

In a word YES! Use of modern antifreeze/coolant with distilled or deionized water provides unequaled protection for freeze, corrosion damage and buildup of insulating coatings. Also controls the internal engine temperatures and prevents engine heat damage like cracked blocks/heads, premature wear, etc.

A word to the wise. If the large auto companies don't recommend or sell a product (or have recommended or sold it in the past) then don't put it buy it and put it in your old Chevy. I can assure you that if a product worked, was cost effective and could be sold at a profit then the auto companies would sell or recommend it. The stories about conspiracies between government, military, auto companies, oil companies are a bunch of bunk, touted by those that want to sell you something that is worthless or nearly so.
Another caution! If someone touts a product used in race cars they might be referring to drag vehicles. The high performance dragsters don't even have water pumps as they rob horsepower and are not needed for the short runs.
