I have some 21" rims that are almost identical to the ones on my 1926 Model T (yes, I know). The difference is in the location of the valve stem hole, relative to the lugs. I believe these are for Chevy, but my only 4 Cylinder Chevys are 1 Ton trucks with 20" wheels, so I don't have a Chevy 21" wheel to use to verify the application. They are split type rims that collapse slightly for tire mounting. The valve stem is left (counterclockwise) from the nearest lug. Model T rims have the valve stem right (clockwise) from the nearest lug. If someone can help me I.D. these, It would be great. It would also be great if someone had some Model T rims to trade. Maybe we can help each other. I'm a Chevy guy, but this car was given to me when I was 17 years old (1966). I have rims but would trade for some extras.

Mike, they seem to be Chevy rims. On my '26 they are 4.50/5.00X21 tires and the valve stem hole is counterclockwise from the nearest lug, also just counterclockwise from the split in the rim. I do believe you need some different for a "T". Can't believe MAC'S wouldn't have "T" rims.

Chev 4 rims are different to T Ford. The valve stem hole and the join are in different places and the lugs on a T rim are squarish in shape, Chevy ones are rounded. T rims can be made to fit though.

Thanks for the replies. I have seen a number of different T demountables, over the years, but never any with square shaped lugs. The ones I have on my car at the present time would be indistinguishable from the Chevy rims, other than the valve stem hole.

What I said is very true for here in New Zealand but then our T Fords were Canadian made and assembled here so the rims were quite possibly Canadian as well. I need to remember this Forum is USA based. Regards Al
