i have replaced everything,master cylinder,brake lines,shoes,hardware.everything works except when im coming to a stop my front end shakes.cant seem to figure out why.also get a clunk sound when i hit the brakes.

I don't think it's your brakes...Have you checked the tie-rod ends, steering stabilizer bushings and the like...? Kevin

Forgot to ask of any problems before you started on this brake up-grade adventure... laugh

Chebby48,

In addition to what Kevin has suggested:

Check tow-in for the cause of the shimmy, also.
Check the travel (arc) of the brake pedal arms for the clunk. You're probably hitting the floor pan at the upper edge of the opening for the pedal arm.

i bought the car undriveable with no breaks.maybe i need to rebuild the front end.

Hows your pitman arm (rubber) bushing's...If your car's all over the road it's a good place to start...Get that steering box bolt in there first...

Lift up the car...See if you can "wiggle" the wheel by simply rocking the tire...
