As a Gulf War Veteran, I would just like to take this moment to thank all our veterans who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms of all Americans.
May you have a peaceful Veterans day.
Do yourself a favor, thank a veteran.

I am sure you can add the appreciation of every red blooded American. Those folks sacrifice so the rest of us can enjoy the benefits of the best country in the universe.

I agree.

I think I'm a fairly wise person because I'm smart enough to realise I'm not too bright.

I thank every veteran for their service , men and women. I remember the nurses in Vietnam and how much help they were in the hospitals.Take a minute during the year to tell a Veteran how much we care.

I add my thanks to all my fellow veterans.

Sadly, some members of society seem to forget veterans, except once a year.

I'm reminded of these words:

"For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck 'im out, the Brute!"
But its "Savior of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot."
Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

Sorry about the negative spin.

I agree. But I still take my old Fire Truck in a Parade here but attendance is dropping off. I still go out to the Sac Valley Veterans Cemetery to do the flag detail and 5 of my grand children insist on helping us. I'm sure letting them know why we do this tribute to our fallen comrades every year. Thanks to all who remember what this great nation has had to sacrifice to keep its freedom not to mention help many others out too! And of course thank you to all who served too!
