I have recently noticed a vibration in the drivetrain of my 33 Master Coupe.I only notice it during deceleration, more noticeable when going down hill when decelerating. It feels like it is in the middle to the rear of the car.I can also feel it in the shifter.I don't have any indication of a bad u-joint or looseness in the ring and pinion as there is no banging between gear changes.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Maybe the propeller shaft bushing?

Could possibly be a worn uni-joint?,worn tail shaft bush or excessive wear on the tail shaft where the bush runs or worn or loose pinion bearings, loose tail shaft coupling sleeve. It maybe(worst case)a combination of several of these.

I'm betting CJP'S 29 is on the right track. Bushing to shaft wear is most likely as it is a common problem caused by lack of continuous lubrication. Of course the U-joint also takes a beating with out lube.

I had a vibration in my 33 coupe. I put a NOS bushing in the drive shaft and it helped but still had a noise when coasting. I put in a new U-joint and the noise went away. It could be a combination of the two.
