the owners manuel says to take the car out of free wheeling while you are at driving speed. Push in the clutch and pull it out. Can you not take it out of free wheeling with the car stopped or parked? I've only driven my car a few times and the cable is pushed in and I'me pretty sure it is in free wheeling(hard to stop). Would like to get it out but not tear up anything. Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,
Firstly i would have a look at the cable connection on the back of the gearbox. A lot of free wheeling units have been disconnected for safety reasons and have a strap steel fitted to lock them off permanently.
