Need some clarification on the two tone painting scheme for an early '28. The dunsmuir grey is applied to the following areas:

1. Disc portion of wheels. Split rim is black?
2. Interior garnish moldings of door at window
3. Interior verticle garnish moldings at windshield
3. Exterior window recess on the doors
4. On the dash? Is the large recessed area in the center painted grey? Gauge cluster insert is white?

Thanks,
Jeff

Bumped up to top of list.

Any feedback as I am trying to restore back to original. The factory paint was too far gone to determine color scheme.

Thanks,
Jeff

If the car is early the rims may have been zinc plated. Apparently sometime in 1928 rims were changed to black paint.

The interior garnish moldings were all dunsmuir gray as was the outside window depression, center of the dash and disc wheels.

Don't remember the name of the green color on the Coupes but if someone else does not give it to you, I can look it up when I get back home.

Early '28 Coupe Color Scheme:

Wheels = Dunsmuir Gray
Wheel striping = Black
Wheel Hubs = Black
Hood = Faunce Green
Hood = Beaded area = Black
Hood Striping = Golden yellow (both beading and louvers)
Body - Door window inset area = Dunsmuir Gray
Body color = Faunce Green
Body Beaded areas = Black

Fenders, Running Board Splash aprons= Black

Dash - Front side - Black (This is referring to engine side of what we all call the fire wall)

Instrument panel = Faunce Green with depression cut in Dunsmuir Gray.

Interior Garnish moldings = Dunsmuir Grey

Door Opening Facings and Scuff plates = Faunce Green

If you PM me with your Snail Mail address, I'll send you a copy of these documents which will include the striping sizes and locations..
