Hi , Could some one let me know the size of the mirror for the 1932 Mirror clock made by Phinney Walker ( 1 Day clock)

I have a mirror that is seemingly too large , and would need longer hook brackets made to mount the clock. It is a tad over 2.550 " wide.
I think "Joe" mentioned he bought a new repo clock mirror with the correct size mirror and switched the original clock to it.

I think also there was another post about the diameter of the "hole" in the mirror reflective silver surface.

Someone also asked a question about the tapered nickel plated ring between the clock and the mirror surface.

Jack--I guess I'm a little confused. Do you want to mount a 32 mirror clock on a non 32 mirror? Bob.

Jack--I might mention that a 32 clock will fit a 2 1/2" mirror just fine with room to spare. Most all mirrors in the early 30's, regardless of make of car, were a nominal 2 1/2". Maybe your clips are not original.

Hi , Bob,
Thank you for your reply.
Great work you do with the early reproduction decals and glass lens for the Chevy clocks.

I have two clocks and they both have the original clips on them, although one is broken. Two of the clips appear to have been straightened to fit a non original mirror. So it seemed to me that the mirrors may have been too large.

Both mirrors i have are not the originals. so a perfect fit is not happening.

I saw the working clock which you have listed on ebay.
You are missing a sheetmetal cone shaped filler which fits in the clock housing to fill the space up to the edge of the decal.
I will post some pictures.
Thanks Jack.

If your mirrors are anywhere close to 2 1/2", I don't understand why your clocks don't fit.

Bob, I think that the bevel on the glass is a slightly different to the shape of the clips, so they do not sit in snugly, even on the mirror glass with the notches. The clips look like they will have a fairly large angle back to the clock.
