Hi folks,
I bought a 1931 Chevy 5-window coupe this past weekend and am looking forward to getting it back on the road. According to the folks that I bought it from, it was bought about 30-years ago following a restoration. However, it was not driven very much and mostly sat in storage. The interior, while looking pretty good has been home to rodents and has the smell to prove it. The body has paint peeling, but is very solid with no evidence of patchwork or bondo that I can find. The only area that has any rust is at the bottom of the drivers door and should be an easy fix. It had some work done to it last year to get it running, but has been sitting since. After loading it on a trailer and taking it to the house, I was able to get it running and drove if off the trailer and around the block. That's about all that I have had time to do so far. Anyway, I am sure that I will have lots of questions on this project but will list them under seperate topics. I have been on other forums for other interests that I have and they have always been a great source for information, tips and encouragement and from reading some of the posts here, I think that this will be the same. It's always great to find folks with similar interests that are willing to help the new guy out.

Welcome, gibster. You'll find this spot to be the best place you ever stopped to visit. And we've all got an opinion or two.

Join the VCCA. You'll get back ten times, maybe hundreds, what you put into it. The people and the Chevy's you meet are unforgettable.

Good luck!
