Apologies, Mike, I don't know why I got the impression we were talking about a '37, other than plain stupidity. Thanks for clearing it up.

Pat S, if you have gone through a rebuild, then you probably replaced the "O" rings that seal the radius rod ends. Any advice on how to find those replacements or what their dimensions are? I have a cobble job that I am not entirely happy with. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Ok Mike,
I have also Spoken to Jack White at Classic Auto Shocks.They rebuild your shocks 168 per. The usually have a set on the shelf done to exchange. Not sure what the warranty period is, but he was very friendly and gave some good advice.
Will let you know if I decide to go with them.

Also on Chevytalk I found a great article on rebuilding the shocks,(not the one that Maxine and PatS are referring to either.
