I would like to know the difference between a 33 master and a 33 standard cover. are they the same or is there a difference? Thanks, Tom

There would be a big difference seeing the Master had 18" wheels and the Sandard 17". The Master had a chrome ring moulding on the front of the cover and a Standard did not.

The topic of ID on the various metal spare tire covers comes up quite often in the various forum years. From 1931 - 1938. This would make a great series of articles for the G & D. I have no samples or the knowledge to accurately ID all of these. I can ID from sight a correct 31 Cover. The rest can be confusing.

I have posted photos of my spare kit. Size is 5.25 x 5.50 x 17. The design was patented in 1933, but I am not sure of year and vehicle. I just have the spare kit. Kit photos
