The gasket on my radiator cap is half gone. How important is it to replace it and keep tight? I suppose I am losing a little pressure.

Your Chevrolet does not have a pressure system, but it is still important to have a tight fitting cap. You can make a new gasket so that your cap will fit better on your radiator.
