My breather neck has been treated a little rough over the last 75 years. No matter how tight I try to tighten the hose type clamp (orginal) it still wobbles on the carb neck. A friend told me to get a T-bolt hose clamp the same size. It has 4 times the clamping power. I think it's really for Marine/aircraft applications. Has anyone ever used this clamp? http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/82001/10002/-1?parentProductId=744065I don't want to crush the potmetal carb neck....

Steve...Put a wide rubber band around around the top of the carb air horn... that will allow the air cleaner to vibrate with the engine shaking and still wont work itself loose/off. You don't want to tighten a clamp around the air horn too tight, warp it, and make your choke stick....Good Luck>>>ED
I was only wrong one time in my life so far. But that time I was right, and only thought I was wrong....ED

Thanks. I guess putting that much pressure on the car neck might not work. Maybe I can find one on Ebay.
