Yes. Most are not correct like that one. Pretty hard to do with the engine in the car. blush

If you look close the motor does have heat to the intake manifold. He is using hot water, you can see the lines just above the generator and one of them goes up to the thermostat housing. Many that have installed Fenton manifolds claim that hot water is far better than using exhaust air.

I mentioned that. Look under the photo. I'm not sure I would want to run coolant lines, but I have heard that is really the better way in a cold climate area. I've seen the intake manifold itself have a coolant jacket inside it (aftermarket of course).

37blue is always lurking in the shadows Agrin

This is actually an interesting discussion, but you're actually correct on this one Steve......it should be in General Discussions as Junkyard Dog suggested. Then you wouldn't have to worry about 37Blue lurking.......just me.

Maybe a 1937-42 Forum Moderator could move this thread to General Discussions.

Take a minute and look at the last 20 posts and tell me how many could be swapped to Elect,Mech, General Dis,etc. Don't count mine just look at the general topics. Why would anyone want to keep moving everything to Chatter or Tech Talk or Photos. The list is huge. These guys seem to play well together and know each other. You'd be scaning for hours in every subtopic area trying to find another persons 37-42 threads.
I know ,it's the rules and that's the way it is..just sayin

I don't mind if to move the post,at least you do visit the forum for some other reason that to move posts.

I like Steve's posts right here... keeps all the other areas clean! And I know where to find him! Sometimes I don't get all of this post policing. It's four seconds out of your life if you stumble on something off topic... Hit the "back" button, and move on! ( Now I'm thinking this should be moved to "Forum Suggestions")

Let's get back on subject now... When's the youtube video of your sweet little setup going to be posted up, Steve? It's looking great!

All the Volts I've seen were either on the back of a tow truck or parked in the service area of a Chevy dealer. They are notorious for problems.

That's why the government kicks in $10,000 if you'll buy one. They just don't sell well, and a used one would never sell.
