My grandfather's 1968 GMC truck has been passed to me. I had the torn build sheet (from behind seat) reconstructed. The build sheet has numerous boxes with codes representing the equipment used to build the truck. Does anyone have a source the decipher these codes?

Google - "1968 VIN, Cowl tag, GM option codes, GM RPO code" or you can list them here and maybe someone will help. The PRO codes rarely changed from year to year. I Googled the above address and I think you'll find what you need there.

I have a list of later model codes(GM Production Options) for passenger cars and light and medium trucks.
As Oldie said I doubt that the option codes changed a lot over the years.
If you would like to post some of the codes we will try to help.

I guess I was wrong, very few of the production codes you have listed correspond with the code books that I have, however the items that you have listed describes what options were installed on the truck, example U63 was the standard AM radio that was installed in most vehicles.
