I have a rear that I believe is for a 32 Confederate. The gear case assembly appears to have 357388 stamped on it. I can't find that in my parts book. Can someone ID this for me? I would like to sell it.

Measure the length of the torque tube. That should help id it. How long has it been stored outside?

The information I have from this site is that the number 357388 is a casting number and it indicates the part is a differential case for 30-32 AD AE BA, part group 5.510, part number 362720.
This part number matches the number in my February 1932 master parts price list.
Jim.

I really don't think it has been outside long. When I picked it up it was in a run in shed the brake rods turn freely. Like anything the next guy should plan on tearing it down and rebuilding it. I know I would.

If your buyer falls through let me know. I would be interested in purchasing it. It does look to be a confederate rear.

The 1930, 1931 and 1932 rear ends all look alike. The torque tube is different length for each year. That is why I asked for the length of the torque tube.
