I'm looking to installing my rebuilt 207 and the rear motor mounts are shot! Is there a way to rebuild these or are they strictly replacement items? I did find a set on "The Filling Station" catalog for $129 but does someone happen to have a set of good NOS mounts for a cheaper price? My money alloted for this restore is quickly running out, so something a bit less expensive would help. Thanks for all your help.

Are your mounts all steel or do they have rubber around them, My 35 1.5 ton only had all steel mounts, I bought a later type with rubber in them from the local auto zone and did a little re drilling and made them work,or get a 1 inch thick peice of rubber and use it on the frame side, others may have better $ saving ideas, also look on ebay

These are really hard to find--and if you do, they will probably have rotten rubber in them. I had my FB motor mounts revulcanized by Steele Rubber, and they were perfect. Here's a quote from their website: www.steelerubber.com

Motor Mount, rear support. Replaces #836805. New rubber vulcanized to your old steel core. Send in old steel cores (2 pieces each support) and allow 3 weeks.

Thanks for the idea! I do have the original cores and would like to either repair the originals or buy replacements that would match the originals. But I'll keep your suggestion in mind, thanks. Oh by the way, been checking ebay reliously every day for those mounts and so far nothing.

What a great web site! That is the kind of place every guy restoring a car likes to find. I'm not quite sure yet if I'll go with the re-vulcanization or not, I can get replacements for $5 more, but I'll think about it. Anyway thanks for the direction to that web site because there are a few other rubber items I'm going to need that they can provide. Appreciate your response.
