I am trying to rebuild my '41 Chevy Coupe transmission. I am having difficulty finding someone to work on it. Also, I have heard that
it might be advantageous to go to a '47 transmission. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Dan. chevy

1941-1948 Chevrolet Passenger transmissions are the same unit so there is nothing to be gained by going to a 1947 transmission unless it is in better shape than yours.

Yes Dan as WDF says it will give you a wide range of transmissions to choose from, that will fit your car, anything for a passenger car from 1941 thru 1948 , only someone that was one heck-of a judge would know the difference..........

Of course an ethical person like you or I would be obligated to tell the judging team the transmission was the incorrect one for the car, right?

Remember the old commercial about hair dye? .....Only your hair dresser will know the difference!....
