Got my new OEM trunk handle today. The chrome shop wanted $80 to rechrome the orginal so I bought a new one from Moffitts Chevrolet parts for $102. They're identical. Anyone who needs an orginal that has pitted chrome for $50. let me know.

For $22 I'd rather have a new OEM part. The chrome shop and I are having a hard time getting together on a price. He's almost doubled his prices in the last few months. He blames everything on the EPA and says he can actually ship it to china ,have them chrome it,and have it shipped back, faster and cheaper than he can do it ,if it's a smaller piece.

A couple of things could be going on.

1.He's getting older and more money hungry

2.Someone called from this forum and told him to stop chrome plating 38 chevy parts.
