I just got the news that my radiator is not repairable. Our local radiator shop can recore my radiator for $1300 in the correct honeycomb style. Or a 1925 stlye for about $600. I would like to keep it as original as possible but with in reason. Any input would be great.

A recore with the correct honeycomb radiator for $1,300 is not unreasonable.

The core from The Filling Station is correct for the 490 and the company has the cheapest price I found before I bought one. You have to add the cost of fastening the old top and bottom tank by a local radiator repair shop.

Beware of out of U.S contacts with offers to sell. If it's trust they are after.. Have them send the item , pay them after you see the Item. U.s sales on this site seem to be o.k Bill
