Flywheel?

I'm pretty sure it's not for the flywheel. The plates on the flywheel are flat and get bent up around the bolt head. I'm still trying to figure it out

Try looking at the bottom 2 bolts of the front sheet metal timing gear cover. These 2 bolts would be installed from the inside of the engine and locked into place with the metal tabs bent over against the head of these 2 bolts.

Oh cool, you know, that's probably what it is! Awhile back I modified the timing covert to where you can bolt up the cover from the front now. Eliminating that lock plate and no longer using that size bolts. Thank you!

Looks like the clip to anchor the U-joint bolts
