After restoring the engine compartment on my '37 coupe, I ordered 4 "hood corners". Now that they've arrived, I have no idea where they go. They are triangular black rubber w/steel cores, and measure about 1-1/4 X 1-1/4 X 1-5/8. Anyone out there know where they fit ?

I've seen "hood corners" on the bottom corners of hoods on older cars to protect the paint on the cowl where they rest, but they are not, to my knowledge, correct for 1937. The '37 hood has a support rod on each side that holds the hood up on a bracket attached to the firewall. I have a pretty much original '37 Sports Coupe and there has never been any hood corners on that car or two previously owned '37's.

Thanks Bob. That's what I thought. I was ordering some other items, so just ordered them to see what the heck they were. Chev's of the '40's catalog says they're for all '37-'39 cars.
My business coupe is also all stock. I guess I'll take them along to all the shows & cruises this summer until someone recognizes them.
