I had the handles all renickled and they look great. when i tried to install, they won't go on. i think the plating took to the insides and is thick enough to not allow it. has anybody a better idea than to have at them or the steel of the shaft with needle files to get clearance??? i don't want to try chemical or electrical remedies as I think the pot metal would be too reactive.

A stiff brush the right size for the inside of the handle in a drill or Dremel tool should fix the problem.

If you have old Chevrolets, other old Chevrolets will find out where you live.
