I search for the gas Tank hose - 3688488 - because mine is leaking. Now i found it by Chevs and by Obsolete.
I wonder by Obsolete they show as Replacement Gates 24030 or DAYCO 76188. When i look at Gates or Dayco website they say it is for the Coolant Systen and not for use with Fuel?? I have one Hose from the Chevs 37013630 Radiator Hose Set - and it seems to be the same?! Which hose can i use alternativ?

I would not use radiator hose. Make sure the hose you are using is rated for gasoline.

Do you have any tip? I think the Hose is 2" inside, right? When on the hose is written 2" I.D , it means Inside Diameter?

Napa also carries Gasoline filler neck hose. Some will cut it to what you need.
I see you're in Germany. There probably aren't Napas over there. I'm pretty sure one of the better parts houses of truck dealers could get you what you need...Joe

Make sure it's a hose intended to be used as gas tank hose, anything else will not last and hose sediment will end up in the tank.

I got my replacement hose from O'(somethings). If garden hose quality is good enough to serve as Eastern Ed's midnight credit card, then it should be good enough for the gas tank as well. After all the gas doesn't just sit there, all it does is give direction for fuel flow. Gas in not in contact but for a few minutes each fill up.

Where you gonna get any 2 inch gas rated hose?

You're kidding, right Charlie? Volatile gas fumes are always in contact with the fill hose. Or are you burnin some kinda non volatile Eco-correct,Greenpeace approved, organically gardened corn liquor? Boy, you'll have Mr Mack a'fumin if thats ahappnin.

Andre

I live in the Netherlands so I also have problems finding the right materials for my Chevrolet (mine is a 48 Fleetmaster).
3 Years ago I also needed a 2 inch fuel line.
I asked at my local garage if they had any idea where I can find some and by coinsidence he had the right fuel line for me.
It is Gates 23932 fuel fill hose 2" I.D. ( 51 MM )This is very good quality but it comes in 1 meter lengths and is very expensive (about €100 ).If you search it on Google perhaps you can find it in Germany only make sure you have the 2 inch internal diameter as they come in diferent diameters.
idea It is used on older WolksVagens,Transporter or perhaps the Beatle too, so if you know a garage that serves old Wolksvagens perhaps you can ask them for a small length to save you some money.

Hello Jianis,
thank you for this Tipp. In Germany I found this Hose with the Gates Number 4663-03604. But you´re right, very expensive - 80€(100$).
in USA you can get it by Rockauto for 41$ (3feet)

This is a follow-up to my previous post re this subject.

What I got from O'Rielly's was as follows:

GATES 24032 VULCO 2" (51MM) MADE IN MEXICO court carrot

It still hasn't fell apart. It doesn't say anything about being gas rated. If, in the future, I find something better then I'll take it off and use that. Until then I'll take my chances. Yep! cool

Andre

Glad you got the right pipe for a very reasonable price.
It is often that some shop near you will have the right materials for older cars.People in my area are always glad to help when I go somewhere with my Chevrolet to ask for something. chevy
