Hello all! Here (hopefully) is the link to the picture of the after-market rocker cover on our 490 that I said I would post. Thanks again to all of you for your help! - The Ol' Coach ref

Thanks for letting us see the cover, both of you.

Is there any kind of hole for oiling inside the cover without removing it? How often do you have to oil the moving parts inside when using the cover?

Thanks for putting the valve cover on correctly, Ray! I know two things regarding the computer: (1) turn it on (2) call my son. I failed to do number 2 on this one! Oh, and thanks for not shooting, Ray! - The Ol' Coach dance

Got the photo this time. Thanks Ray. Since we have clouds of dust out here, I'll plan on adding one of these. I'm not at home so can't check to see if there are existing threads to attach to in the head.

The valve cover looks home made to me. A nice job at it too, but no holes for lubrication.

Cheers,

The wing nuts securing the rocker cover would have made for easy removal to oil the valves and rockers when needed.

There is a valve cover on ebay right now. $24. Look under 1920 chevy valve cover. Looks the same with only a few extra holes, but the same style and shape.

I would call that cover a 1928.
