I thought somewhere I read there is a way to modify the timing cover of a 216 so that you don't have to remove the pan in the future to remove the cover? I tried searching for the topic but couldn't find it. Any help?

That would work on the 216-235-261's till 1962 when they changed the design of the engine. Chuick
