Are the rear brake linings the same on the '28 & '29 chevy. I believe the front brakes are the same but don't know about the rear external. Are other parts the same such as linkages etc. My part books start at 1929 and don't reference 1928. Thanks for any info!

Doug, According to my 28 and 29 parts books the front brake assy and the emergency brake parts are the same for 28-29 but the rear brakes are not the same. Will send you the parts info from the 28 parts book if you need it.

Kirk :)

Hi guys,
Thanks for the help. Where do you use as a source for the lining and what is the rivet size? I have a piece of lining but it seems very hard and is not drilled.

I have just replaced the liners on my 1931 chevy pickkup. I could not find replacement liners but found some the fit but had to redrill. so I made a drill bit that worked perfect in aligning and setting the depth of the resest hole. If you want my help email me and will send discription and pictures of what I did ( amrinejt@alltel.net )
