Hi there. I am wondering if a 1936 drag link would fit a 1938 Master 4 door without knee action. The drag link is on ebay listed as a Sealed Power product with number TE-93 which cross-references Moog DS-93.

The 1936 drag link is completely different from the 1938.

I have a '37 master drag link. Would that work for Indyscot?

The 1937 and 1938 Master drag links are also different....Why do you need a drag link? Kits are available to replace the inner pieces if that is where your problem is.

I have an endplug that refuses to come out. I have already done some damage to the threads above it. It also looks like there has been some metal added to the link around where the balls go in. I figure that if I can pick up a new link cheap enough I will just replace mine.

Sounds like a good one to replace.Just keep watching on eBay.I have seen them from time to time.If you have a '38 Master (straight axle) the Chevrolet part number is 603483 and the parts book says that it came with the pitman arm attached.I have no numbers for after market parts --ie.-Moog etc.---I have also seen them for sale in the G&D-The Vintage Chev. Club publication.

Thanks to everyone for the info. I received an email from a guy VA that seems to have what I need. Let's hope it works out.

I think your link is a straight bar. The knee action link for '38 had a dog leg on it about 6 inches long. I have never seen a straight drag link for sale anywhere, which would explain why someone felt the need to add metal to the holes.

The parts book also lists the link as coming with the pitman arm.I belive on end may have been rubber mounted to eleminate road shock?

Both ends had the dual spring system where the steering ball fit between the two springs. That was how they absorbed the shock transmitted along the shaft of the link.
