Any one here lay claim to the 32 Phaeton on Ebay? Auction ended early, but was listed other places also. I know there are not many left. Has there ever been a count of known 32 Phaetons left?

The motor in the blue Phaeton that was on ebay is a R.H.D. export as the engine number in the listing starts with the letter R, it doesn't have Australian front fenders but they could have been replaced or it may be from Argentina,South Africa or New Zealand? The stated original colour scheme was never available here in Australia.

Ok what is the difference between the Australian fenders and American? I noticed the rear window is rectangular, not peaked in the middle. Is this also due to export or just a reproduction?

US front fenders are manufactured in one piece of steel, where as the GM-Holden LTD front fenders are manufactured in two pices with a folded seam joint running fore and aft just above the head light mounting holes which is left visable. There no VEE peak on the front edge of the front fenders and they mount differently to the side splash aprons. The rear fenders do not have the VEE peak at the rear.
The Phaeton in question was a North Amercian Exported model, as the side pressed mouldings along the doors on a Holden body 1932 (tourer), are the same as 1931 tourer , and similiar to the 1930 and 1931 phaeton and roadsters. There is also a visible lower metal sill below both doors on a Holden body 1932 tourer, while the US phaeton has doors all the way to the bottom. The windsreen posts and frames are also different.

You will also see the windshield posts and windshield frame. The front bumper is also supposed to be a twin bar style, however the lower bar is meant to have a dip down just at the bumper medalion. The chrome plated hoods doors were not available on any 1932 Chevs down under, and are a feature added by the owner.
