I'm looking for some information from my vin #
21JA0751202, body style 39-1011, body # J30564 and
a little history on how many were made. I just
completed restoration and started driving it.

21JA0751202 breaks down as:
21 = Point of manufacture (Janesville, WI., I believe, but I can't find those records right now)
JA = Master Deluxe seires
07 = month of manufacture (July)
51202 sequential production number

Body Style 39-1011 = Master Deluxe Town Sedan (2-door with integral trunk). Production was 220,181 units of this body style, according to my records.

Body #J30564 Sorry, but I don't have this info right at hand.

Hi everyone,
This is my first posting as I go through the history of this chat. I have a 39 Master Deluxe 2-dr Town Sedan and I'm wondering if anone can help me with the trim code. I'm just starting the restoration and also can't find the VIN like the one Grease Monkey speaks of in the initial posting. Where can I find it? Here's the info off my plate. I'm told Paint Code 251 is black.

> Style No. 39-1011
> Body No. M24910
> Trim No. 80
> Paint No. 251

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ralph

39-1011 is a Master DeLuxw 2 door,..trim #80 refers to the upholstery material.I can't get to all of my literature right now but it would most likely be brown mohair. The 251 paint # is black.

ChevGene,

Thanks for the info. I see that all of us newbies to the chat are Grease Monkeys. I thought that was actually the "handle" of the person doing the first post!

Are there any websites that breakdown Chevy trim numbers? I'm also still looking for my VIN and can't find any numbers representing xxJAxxxxxxxxx. Any idea what production plant is designated "M"?

Thanks again,
Ralph
