Have a 34 pick-up just rebuilt engine and now looking at tranny. It is a synchromesh trans but it grinds going into 2nd and 3rd, I have it part way apart, the syncro front spring appears to be worn some but everything else 'looks' OK, it is pretty gummy from old grease. What should I be looking for? Is there anything special I should look for on the synchros?
