I've used the cork seal, an oring and also a quad ring. Also I'm using the 600 wt gear oil. Some members advise they are running straight chassis grease which may be my next attempt, but I would like to hear some opinions from other members. Perhaps Gene's steering gear lube recipe would work. Steve D

Is there a way to check the level? Such as removing the speedo drive gear and filling to runout? I did have the prop shaft bushing seize to the shaft at one time so I would rather be overfilled than under. The bushing and seal were replaced and the shaft built up to due to wear. Steve D
