On a 31 Special Sedan. The hood latch hooks (would be FS# GR150), how are they attached to the hood? Slotted SS 10-24 screw and nut or rivet head screw?

Originally they were attached with rivets. Rivet head screws look the same from the outside but not the inside. Slotted head screws don't look right from either side.

Did the hood latches fs gr-150) come from the factory chromed on a 1931? I have 3 hoods and don't see any trace.

Trucks and export used black painted hood latches. Cars used chrome ones.
