Was looking at 56 Belaire at a car show the other day and the shift quadrant read PNDL2L1R. This confuses me because I thought the early power glides were always PNDLR, and the turbo glides didn't come out till 57. Whats the scoop?

They sell all the parts necessary to install a later tranny including the shift quadrant indicator plates.

I wondered if that might have been the case, sure looked original, though

Steve,

As you say, it sure looked original. I'd say that's the whole idea. For the guy who changed from PG to TH350/400 that's neat.

Don't mean to quibble; but I'd guess the R on the new quadrant would be just to right of Park....not all the way to the right as on the original PG.

Bill.

Reverse would be after "N" not at the end.
