Took my 67 Corvette to a local Cruise Night and and decided to show my beautiful engine. Much to my surprise I had company! Sadly, there were babies inside it who were just born. I had used the car two weeks ago and opened the Hood and nothing was there. I park the Vette next to the 31 that I'm putting a new Hamptons interior in. Time to buy Traps, Bounce Fabric softener sheets etc. Al W. ![[Linked Image from i49.tinypic.com]](http://i49.tinypic.com/nlo3lw.jpg)

Yes, it is from the Firewall. Drivers side, behind the Cluster. I'm going to talk to my Ins. Broker Monday morning to hear thier comments. I'd like to pull the Cluster, examine the wires and replace the Padding as it does smell bad now. This will not slow me down on the 31. I have a bunch of grandkids waiting for Ice Cream!! lol Al W. BTW, I've owned the Vette since 1972 when they weren't so Darn expensive! The up town pricing has really taken the fun out of these cars.

A few years ago, my '31 Special Sedan developed a rather ugly smell inside. Turns out I had two dead mice above the headliner inside the roof. Also, I noticed that something had been eating parts of the door panel material. Needless to say, the Sedan now has mothballs located inside the passenger compartment when resting in my garage with several mousetraps scattered around the garage (Never caught any mice though. Should I use fabric softener sheets also in addition to mothballs? #18184

Every year when I put my boat to sleep it gets a box of Bounce fabric Softener sheets spread all over the place. Never had a mouse aboard. This year I got lazy and didn't. The little buggers had a grand time. Lucky for me the only damage I found was a roll of paper towels chewed up pretty good. You've made me think about putting a few Moth Balls inside the doors before I put the new panels on. Thanks for commenting, Al W.

Should I use fabric softener sheets also in addition to mothballs? #18184 Use fabric softener sheets INSTEAD of mothballs!! I would rather give the mice the interior than drive around in the stench of mothballs!! For the traps, use the bait-less ones with the flat yellow fake "cheese". Place the trap with the cheese plate against the wall inside the doors, and across the back wall of your garage. The mice don't see well, and always run against the walls to get around. Putting the trap under the car will catch next to nothing. The fact it's bait-less means it will not attract them into the garage to find food. If you're baiting them, peanut butter works really good, but I think it attracts them into the garage as well.

You guys...need to see the Arizons packrats...Over a weekend they can FILL the engine compartment with a nest. When you poison them you hurt the food chain. Did you know that double-bubble gum will plug them up and kill them.?

Did you know that double-bubble gum will plug them up and kill them.? You never want to poison them. A dead mouse somewhere in your car smells bad. Just trap and use something to deter them.
