OP heavychevy1953 Shade Tree Mechanic Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 43 Anaheim,CA	My mesh is falling out of the element.Can I open the element to replace the mesh? It seems like it cannot be opened. Engine is a 235, Rochester "b" type carb.

chevy1937 ChatMaster - 1,000 Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 1,294 Hubbard,Ohio	Some filters the element does not come out. The book shows washing the whole filter in a bucket of gas. That was when gas was 0.17 cents. I got rid of that one and replaced it with one that you can change the element. The Filling Station has new elements. Last edited by chevy1937; 06/23/12 11:46 AM.
