I am working on a 1931 the wood work around the doors and floor frame are well used up. and gone over head over the windshield. The body is in 2 parts the front windshield, door frame, dash area. the Back part is the seat and back window. The Split is at the door post. My question is does the top just sit on the door frame at the top. Screwed into the wood over the door. Removing the 3 wood screws from the L- bracket separate the top from the front window. I would add pictures but I am not that far in adding pictures.

There are a number of additional Machine bolts that need attention. As I remember they will be about 3" long. Al w.

Dear GunSmoke sorry it is none of the above. At one time it was a 4 door sedan I think. It is now a cut body re-welded into a pick up type cab. With a sheet metal roof over lay. It has 2 spare wheel wells and a 29 engine. New glass and upholstery and a one wheel trailer for a pick up box. However The engine is in for overhaul. the transmission is getting new brass bushing as the that is all that is need. The clutch plate gets a new disk and maybe new springs. The Tire are good and the brakes are fair.

I wanted to separate the front of the cab from the back but that is not going to happen. Unless I cut it free and then re-weld witch i do not think I am going to do. Instead I am going to fill the area over the windshield with Liquid Nails to fill the gap. Replace the wood in the floor, rewire, paint( paint cover a multitude of sins). Put it all back together and enjoy what else can I do. Sometimes you have to be a real mechanic and make it work with what you have. Most of the stuff I need will not come new in a box that is for sure.
But thinks for the help anyway. If you have any spare sunshine that your not using Please sent it my way as we here in Oregon still have Spring weather with Rain. See You
