Can,t seem to get the horn to blow on my 48 fleetmaster,,backed out the rubber screws, flipped metal ring over still no contact
works when jumpered.. any tricks to proper assembly..

I fixed mine recently, I had to replace the rubber pad ( 2.816 ) to make mine work...Is your pad okay...?

good to see my post moved up..new pad do u know where the horn ring makes ground to honk .. i restored the wheel maybe when the horn ring hits the trim rings to make ground .. yea think

Trim rings...You mean the trim moulding...? I thought it had something to with the spring and cups...You have the "cups" in place where they should be...? There also that threaded ring under the wheel on the column you have to adjust...The only problem I remember having was screwing the two rubber "plugs" down too tight and the horn ring wouldn't "ground"...
