After too many years of procrastinating, my total rebuild of my '30 Chevy 1 ton truck is back into motion. My main hold up has been that the wood kit for the cab didn't fit correctly, probably because there was a piece missing. A wood worker friend looked it over and came up with a piece that seems to fill all the holes (the missing bit is one of the cross cab header beams). Given that we have a probable solution, this week we delivered the chassis, wood kit, lots of accumulated bits and pieces and all the tin we have to a professional restorer.
After a lot of thinking, there are a very few parts that we must be missing. Anything that was only attached to the wood of the cab is probably gone. Specifically, the door latch and striker plates mounted to the wooden door jams. Anyone know of a source for these?
I appreciate all the help I've gotten from the VCCA over the years, and we may have a functional truck before the year is out.

You may want to post this in the Truck Section of the forum, where you are more apt to find knowledgeable truck guys.
