I have seen so many repainted cars from the 20's and all the black paint looks the same to me.

to repaint the body will take some research and color matching but the black??/

If I have the fenders painted 1980 thru 2012 black..chevy/BMW/Caddy, will it all look alike in the end provided I get a good paint job or did 1920's black have a different tone/hue/reflectivity/ who know what or is black black, who cares, nobody will know the difference!

Is Duco black very close to the current ......(picka car).black.....(pick a model, year) Not sure if I'll ever show the car in the future but if I do, whats my best option at this point??

thanks

Ron,
The problem with most modern black paint is that it has some metallic or pearl or other enhancing agent. What you want is just plain black without any of that other stuff.

When I paint the fenders, aprons, etc on my 27 touring I plan to use dupont centari 99 black. It is a single stage acrylic enamel, no pearls, metallics etc, just plain black.
