Was the 51 hardtop and convertable built in different plants than the other body styles ? When replacing body panels I found the rocker seam and rear door post to be different than all other models. Thanks.

The convertible bodies were made in Lansing. The hard top bodies were made in all the usual body plants and none at Lansing.
