I gave up on Ebay and ordered a 5 inch , drivers side, repo spotlight with chevrolet namecrest. I still need a photo of a 38 interior shot of the spotlight. If I mess this up,I'm blaming you guys for not showing a photo, maybe Charlie too. Don't ask me why I'm blaming Charlie...it just seemed like the thing to do...smiles.. I see spotlights pointing upward, some level, some pointing downward. I guess it doesn't matter really, I just don't want it to look like some tarheel from North Carolina did it.. hehe

No backing down now..You spent the $..I waited many years after I got mine to install it.

So it is a unity light correct?

Yes. bracket, namecrest, template, the whole nine yards. I got feed up looking on ebay and Craigs list. Some of them looked great at half the price but no bracket or it was the wrong model. This one is SUPPOSE to fit a drivers side,38 coupe ,6 volt,Master, 5 inch and have evereything needed as far as hardware.$300

My '42 had a spotlight on the drivers side when I got it. I found another to mount on the passenger side on ebay and ordered the mounting bracket from Unity. It came with the template and drill bushing and mounted with no problem. Good luck to you.

So the bracket came with a bushing huh, cool. As you can see above the guide light installation did not have such a thing.....So it fits in side the bracket, you drill and them remove it and mount the light? How thick are the walls on on the bushing and what is it made out of?

The drill bushing is made out of steel and is sort of a replica of the the portion of the spot light head that goes in to the mounting bracket. You mount the bracket then clamp the drill bushing in place and drill a 1/2 in hole.

Wow I guess I did it the hard way..The bushing should keep the drill nice and straight..Maybe thats why Unity is still in business?
