Need some help on my '28 coupe restoration...My front seat spring assembly(the one you sit on)is missing. The Filling Station stated that their supplier only produces the 29-30 version. Is there a difference? Any ideas on where to purchase a new one if the 29-30 is incorrect?

I hate to admit it but one of our brother car makes has almost every spring you can think of available. So, get the measurements of your spring and contact our brother car vendor and work with those figures. I think in most cases you can locate something that is either right on or will work.

Thanks Antique Mechanic! I found out the current seat manufacturer produces mostly the Blue Oval cushion assemblies. I just want to make sure I am as close to original size/shape as possible.

It is shocking to see the parts availability and much lower cost of the 'brothers' parts...

Thanks,
Jeff

I have both the metal seat springs for a 1928 coupe (top and bottom). I'm not sure I will use them in my car, so I might sell them.
Let me know if you want to talk about it.

Mike
