Hi gents
I suppose this has been covered previously, if so couldn't find it.
Would 85-140 gear oil work for lube in my 37MD front knee action shocks or is it hydraulic oil?

Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray, I used hydraulic jack oil in mine. If you have a Fleet Farm up by you, they should have it.

Hello Ray,

When i first started working on my '37 MD, Chevgene recommended jack oil. Although I haven't driven the car yet, that seems to be oil of choice and any parts store will carry it.

Hey Joe
I will be using the hydraulic jack oil, thanks for the reply! Now I have a ? for you. How the heck did you get the pic of your car to show up on your profile on your posts? I changed the pixel size of my 37MD picture which is in JPG format and dragged it into the edit my profile page in my stuff and dragged the picture into the avatar, but it's not showing up. Any help would be appreciated. After dragging the pic into the avatar, I got a msg saying that the changes were made.
Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray, I'm Probably wrong on this, but its worth a try. My Grandson helped me put mine on. At the bottom of your,My Profile Page, I think you have to have a picture of your car where it says current avatar, then click the radio button on the left that says upload your avatar. Then click on the submit at the bottom of the page. If I'm wrong, maybe someone else here will chime in and help out. Good luck Ray.

Hey Ken, Don't worry to much about your grandson. One of these days he'll have one of these I-pod things and he wont hear a thing you ask him. GRIN!!

Hi Joe
The seals must be non-existent, I think the fluid ran out faster than I could add it!!!
Looks like rebuild time this coming winter!! Now where do I find a rebuild kit? It just doesn't end, oh well its a lot better than staring at the box don't you know?
Thanks
Ray
