What would be the difference between a condenser for 1929-34 and one for 1935-69. Is it the external appearance or something internal? I am looking at the Filling Station Catalog and wondering if the one for newer models would work OK. Mine is fine but I thought it might be a good idea to pick up one locally to have as a spare. Thanks for any replies!!

The 1933-1974 uses the same condenser _ EXCEPT the 1933 and 1934 Standard uses the 1929 - 1932 condenser. So you would want a 1929-1932 condenser for your 1934 Standard.

Chev Nut is right. The main problem is the color of the wire and the length. If I remember right the Filling Station had these special made to look just like the original condenser. You can also get away with using a Standard condenser part number DR-70. You will need to change the wire end to an eyelet and put insulation on it so it will not short out.

To my knowledge most condensors are the same internally (22 micro farad), the main differences are the wire (terminals and length) and the method of mounting. Tony
