My 1950 Styleline Deluxe was manufactured at Chevy's plant in Baltimore Maryland. Then shipped by rail to Nuzum & Cross Chevrolet, Newton North Carolina. I am trying to find out the estimated shipping charges? Any ideas!!!!

How bout contacting AMTRAK? They may have a historian which can give you an idea what freight charges ran back in the 50's.
A GOOGLE search for railroad historians might help. I grew up in the Balto-Washington area so I know the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad ran in that area. Maybe you can locate someone who used to work for them.

Good luck. Interesting question!!

Destination charges (D & H) were an "established rate", depending on model being shipped. Not like buying a train or plane ticket.

I do not have 1950 rates, but 1951 Styleline Deluxe 2 door was $89.00 and 1951 Styleline Deluxe 4 door was $91.00.

Those rates became effective 9/19/1951.
