Good Day All
I need to replace the cloth roof of my 1932 Chev 5 window coupe. Does anyone make a complete kit just like the origional?

Any hints or clues about installing one?
Thanks
Mike

No accurate roof kits that I know of. The original was a patterned fabricoid. Vinyl would be the modern replacement.

The Filling Station has a roof kit part number GM-1000.
Has anyone used this or has a comment about origionality or quality?

Does anyone have advice on how to seal the top so it not leak?

I bought a top kit from Hampton Coach for my '31 coupe, and as I installed it, I sealed it with a 3M product called "clear auto sealer". The sealer was used everywhere that I thought could possibly leak.

Good day Everyone
Thanks for he heads up on the sealer. Ill pick up some from my local parts store.

My coupe doesnt have the trim that goes around the perimeter of the hole in the roof. Anyone have a good idea for a replacement?

Wire-on and a similar product (whose name escapes me) is usually provided with the top kit. It's not authentic, but the original metal strips are not available. It's on my '31, and you can see pictures at www.1931chevrolet.com under "restoration".
