Hi There and welcome to Chevy Chatter II. Glad to have you with us!

On the diff. adjustment, there are detailed instructions on how to set-up the rear end in your 1929 Chevrolet shop manual. If you don't have one, you can get a reprint from the Filling Station in Lebanon, Oregon.

As Junkyard Dog said welcome to Chatter.
Adjusting differentials correctly is not easy though I have known some untrained to get lucky. Get a service manual for the correct procedure and only do the job once without headaches.

Yes, indeed both: not easy and not too complicate too.
Did it twice at my previous 1931 chevy.
As recommended get the repair manual book first. You will find good explanations about what to do there. Step by step. With talented hands and some feelings you will get it.
Good luck!
Stefan

Here is the 1934 Manual, the closest I could find online.
Check page 68.
Cheers!
